SP SnapShot Bulletins

"Summertime and the living is easy."

We hope you’ve been enjoying your summer! The SP SnapShot™ team has been busy crisscrossing Florida, visiting schools and training data teams. We’ve traveled a lot and we’ve had the opportunity to meet some amazing teachers and administrators…and we’re not done yet! Our excellent Senior SnapShot trainer Michelle Gainer, a.k.a. “the Gainer Trainer”, will soon be coming to a school near you. If you can’t wait for your training opportunity, we’re now offering Faculty Training! Read more about this new service later on in this bulletin.

Also in this month’s bulletin, you’ll learn about some of the new features coming soon to SnapShot, as well as how to analyze the 2007 school grade additions.

So sit back with a cold beverage and enjoy the June SnapShot Bulletin and your summer freedom.

Coming Soon!

FCAT Retake Scores in SnapShot

High school FCAT retake scores will be displayed in SnapShot’s student tables and graphs, just in time for their contribution to the school grade in 2007!  Retake scores help teachers monitor achievement and student areas in need of improvement, and allow schools to track the effectiveness of programs on this particular student demographic.

Student Academic Improvement Plan (AIP) Builder and Report Generator

The SnapShot AIP Builder and Report Generator will provide teachers with a simple and effective method for creating individual student academic improvement plans for reading, writing, math and science based on student demographic data, FCAT and Stanford performance indicators.

The AIP feature builds and reports in less than 10 minutes and takes even less time to update! Data needed for the AIP is automatically entered into the report, including student data for previous 4 years with no additional work for teachers! Users can compliment the AIP with diagnostic assessment results, report card grades, class grades, discipline, and more.

Best of all, the Student AIP Builder and Report Generator will be provided at no additional cost to you! View a sample report here.

If you’ve got any questions about these exciting new features don’t hesitate to contact our staff at training@studentperformance.com.

SnapShot Faculty Training

You asked for it and here it is! SnapShot is pleased to announce the introduction of Faculty Training to our current repertoire of regional training for data teams.

Faculty training is an easy and efficient way to train your entire staff to use SnapShot. To help you and your staff get the most out of SnapShot, one of our highly-qualified trainers will come to your school and train your staff on how to use SnapShot for school improvement, SACS review, FCAT preparation, and making effective classroom decisions.

This training is hands-on and includes a training packet that guarantees that you and your staff will have the knowledge, tools and most importantly the motivation to fully utilize SnapShot after the trainer leaves. This service costs $750 for a full-day of training and covers all trainer travel expenses.

If you have any questions or are interested in booking SnapShot Faculty Training for your school, please contact Jonathan at training@studentperformance.com.

Analyzing the 2007 School Grade Additions

The 2007 school grade will include the percent of students scoring 3 and above in Science and the lowest 25% of students making learning gains in Math. The following activities will allow you to analyze these areas in order to form goals and strategies to address any areas of weakness before starting the 2007 school year. By analyzing the trend in these areas, you will be prepared for the implementation of these new A++ plan measures.
